Annie Oakley, the super-duper-better-than-any-boy sharpshooter, hardly ever missed!!

She shot a cigarette out of the prince's mouth. She won 2 million dollars for that. She was also famous for being in the wild Bill Hickock show. She also shot down 10 glass balls in a row.

She started her shooting when she was 7 years old. When she was 20 years old, she shot quail by the dozen, sold them, and kept the money to buy herself  a ticket to Cincinnati.                                                                                                                                                                                                         About 2 months later, Annie earned enough money to buy a ticket. In Cincinnati, Annie went to a shooting contest with Frank Butler. Annie won the contest 25-24. She got 50 bucks for it. She later died in a train crash.
The part I liked best was where a man send Annie a picture of himself and asked her to marry him. Annie shot a few holes in the man's head (in the picture, of course) and send the picture back to him. I did not like the part where page was ripped so i couldn't read it.


I  would recomend the book to any one who likes books about the west.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn By: Mark Twain

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is all about this rowdy 12-year-old boy who helps this runaway slave, Jim, escape to freedom. (So far, anyways.)

I guess the most important part (so far) is how he's helping Jim. Jim thinks his owner is going to sell him to a different owner, one that he no doubt thinks is really cruel. I think what Huck (that's his nickname) is doing is very kind and considerate. I saw that he cares for Jim.

The part I enjoyed most is when Huck come into his room at the widow's where he stayed at the time and his father was sitting right there in his room, waiting for him! It is the most catching part of the whole book. (So far)

The worst part (so far) is when he befriends a boy named Buck and Buck gets shot during something that has to do with the feud he's in. The part is pretty sad and Huck cries a lot about it.

I recommend The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn for anyone who is at this reading level and/or finds such things interesting. Anybody that finds what kids were like back then in the good ole' days fun and exciting will love this book. Anyone who doesn't might as well take my word for it and not read it. 😛

Dog To The Rescue By Jeannette Sanderson

DOGS WHO RESCUED THERE OWNER. Dogs are very special to their owners, but this book is about lots of dogs who rescued there owners.
The most important part in this story is the part where the dogs rescued their owners. Those dogs are very special to everyone and are heros.Some dogs are very popular and well trained. Some dogs are trained to be a watch dogs and others hunters.
 The best part in this book is all the excitement that happens and then the dogs come to the rescue. All over the world dogs have rescued people from fires, cliffs, and dangerous animals. The worst parts in the book is the scary parts. Why? because their scary thats why.
 I think everybody should read this book because then everybody will know that dogs can be a hero all sorts of ways.

Haunt Fox, By Jim Kjelgaard

The book I am reading is about a brave fox who avoids dangerous traps and fox trappers.

 The most important part is about a fox that is hunted and is avoiding danger to survive. They are setting traps every where and they can not catch him. They said that the one who hangs his pelt on a board will receive a big reward and will have the right to boast. The haunt fox has to fight against many enemy's to survive.

 The best part is of the book is that the man named Dade Matson a fox hunter who sets traps every where. One day he caught the haunt foxes mate and he put her in the cage where he had all the other foxes he had caught. Then the haunt fox whose real name was Star tried to find a way in to the cage to release his mate and all the other foxes. Then Dade saw him there and took his 10 gauge shotgun and sat there waiting for a clear shot at the haunt fox. Then Star jumped up the cage and Dade shot at him missed and broke the lock to hold the trapdoor it flew open, and before he had a chance to reload his shotgun all the foxes were gone.

The worst part is where Dade Matson deodorized his fox traps. He put them into hot water and a certain kind of wood in the pot. Dade did not only do it to his traps he did it to all his trapping gear gloves and boots. And then changed into deodorizes boots and gloves and went to sets his traps.

I think every one should read the book because it is very exiting. All sort of exiting things happen where he defends himself and survives. I really liked the part when he has the fight with the Weasel. He killed it. THE END!

The Breadwinner- Deborah Ellis

One sentence overview of the book

After her father was arrested by the Taliban, Parvana is forced to illegally disguise herself as a boy in order to provide for her family.

What is the most important part of the book? Why?

The most important part, the foundation of this whole story, would be the arrest of her father. Women in Pakistan have very few liberties and are governed with irrational and illogical laws. Since they are not allowed out of their house, Parvana's family has no way to buy or get money for food. As a result, Parvana is forced to disguise herself as a boy and look for a job.

What is the worst part of the book? Why?

There were three parts in this book which each compete for the most horrifying title. One was when Parvana and her friend, Shauzia, (who also is a girl disguised as a boy) dig up bones and sell them.
The other is when Parvana and Shauzia, carrying trays of stuff to sell, hurry to a large gathering crowd. They then are forced into an auditorium where they had to watch captured thieves have a hand hacked off as a punishment.
The last is at the end of the book. Parvana's mother, two sisters, and brother journey to Mazar, and she later finds out that the city was overtaken by the Taliban and many people massacred. The author ends the book without revealing whether Parvana's family survived the attack.

What is the best part of the book? Why?

This book has very few "good" parts. I suppose I would have to say it is when her father is released from the prison. That is all the way at the end of the book. The reason I debate it being the "best" part would be because the next book in the series, Parvana's Journey, begins with: 

A man Parvana didn't know gave one final pat to the dirt mounted up over her father's grave. 

Who should or shouldn't read this book? Why?

This is a tough question. It depends on the person. It's hard to believe, but I suppose some people might think that some characters in the book, the Taliban for example, have some good ideas. The other sort of people would sympathize with the conditions and injustices the people in Pakistan, especially the women, are forced to live with, and are incapable of escaping from.

Brother against Brother

                                   I think the book brother against brother by Franklin W Dickson is pretty good                     but Joe should have looked before he tried to kill frank and he should not have listened to                      his girl friend but im glad joe found out that frank is his brother.

Asterix the Gaul

 The Romans knew that there was something about the Gauls superpowers. So they asked who wanted to go spy on the Gauls no one wanted to so they played musical chair and a little roman lost and he had to go spy on the Gauls. Then he went to dress like a Gaul and the romans put him in chains and walked down the road and Asterix and Obelix saw them and ran up a tree and pounded the romans took the roman and took him to there village and let him look around. He asked the droid what the secret was and he made him some potion and when they were done they did a mustache pull and his mustache fell of and he escaped. the romans captures the droid and Asterix and the Gauls made them potion and the Gauls drank it and they started growing beards and secretly the Gauls made them potion and drank it up and got super strength then the romans were about to kill the Gauls then Julius Caesar came and the Gauls told them what happened and Julius Caesar set them free and the Gauls went home and had a great feast.

Old Yeller By: Fred Gipson

Old Yeller is one of the best books I've ever read. I like the way the author used the "old" way of speaking, such as "Yeller" for "Yellow" and they "don't hardly ever not" use double negatives. Old Yeller is a old yellow dog with a chewed off ear that often saved the lives of the family that owned him. I, Anna Waldner, highly recommend this book, Old Yeller, to (whoever you are). Old Yeller also has a sequence called "Savage Sam", one out of the seven pups Old Yeller had.

THE LOST PRINCE- Frances Hodgson Burnette

I haven’t gotten very far in reading this, but as of yet, after I began to understand it (a little,) it turned out to be pretty good. It’s really exciting, and though nothing much has happened yet, it has never been boring. I think the author seems to be taking her own sweet time getting to the point, and making it a relaxed but tense journey. 

As I read it, I was always expecting some adventure to pop up and transform the peaceful beginning into an uproar. But as I said, I think the author is explaining things very carefully as we go along before anything will happen; which is good. And it is still cool that it hasn’t been boring while she’s doing this. 

It is a very promising story, and though I’ve not finished it yet, I think I would recommend it as a really good book. Some people have told me its a bit too dreamy for their taste, but in my opinion, it is perfect. It keeps you wondering and guessing, with enough plot twists to keep you wondering what is hiding around the next corner.-THE END

Annie Finds A Home Written by Amy Ehrlich Illustrated by Leonard Shortall

Annie finds a home is one of my favorite books. I like it because it has lots of illustrations and is very exciting. In the book Orphan finds a home with the richest guy in the world. It is a very good book. It is a very short book, but still fun to read. I already read that book a few times, and I enjoyed it. So that is why I find that book interesting.

Nobody knew what to do

I liked the book called: Nobody knew what to do and it is written by :Becky Ray McCain and illustrated by Todd Leonardo  I think the book is very good and I think a kid who bullies is bad because if a kid hits somebody then the other kid hits him back and that is how kids become bullies or it is because some people mistreat that kid too so he becomes a bully too if you get bullied tell a grownup but what if you don’t tell a grownup or adult even if the bully tells you not to but I think you should tell anyway because they should not get away with it or just start treating the bully nicely. 

The Lone Ranger

There was a boy in an Indian village that had a pony that could signal like when you say yes he shakes his head. One day a carnival man came to the Indian village and said the heard that there was a talking pony in the village the argued with the boys father for a long time but the father said no then the man left.  Then in fall the Indians went to pick nuts the boy rode alone then the mane came knocked the boy of his pony and stole the pony. The boys father heard what happened then he said the will tell the sheriff and he will arrest that man. But after the father had said that the lone ranger came and asked what happened the boy told him and the lone ranger went to the city with the boy. The lone ranger saw the man who stole the pony and said he should gave the pony back the man wanted the whip the lone ranger and he grabbed his arm and aimed his revolver at him and the man gave the boy his pony back.

Scared Silly By: Eth Clifford

I think the book I just read (SCARED SILLY), well, I would say I would rate it about 4 stars. It is not very bad and I like pretty good, but I guess it’s just not my sort of book. It is about 2 girls and their Father, and they were on a trip of some sort and they saw a sign that advertised a museum. And all sorts of weird and impossible things happened while they were in there. And I guess that sort of thing just isn’t my thing. But you just might like it, even though it’s not perfect for me. Don’t let me stop you from reading SCARED SILLY.
